Sounds like a good idea. I'll go gather a few more.
[Robin takes the envelope as she goes to gather some more. Good thing she bought her bigger purse today. It's mostly to house her larger books, but this will work out too.]
[ Yeah, she'll go about her own method of collecting here. Some snatching, some using the parasol as a net when she's in the shadows, and... well, as for the packages? ]
[Robin stuffs the envelopes in her purse. Using her hair tie to
I lost track of the package I was chasing earlier. I think it belongs to me, I ordered some books a few months ago, but they never arrived. I was beginning to think they lost my order. Do you think they belong to you?
Hmmm... You know, that's a good point. I stopped bothering ordering things after a certain point, but I might have some of those things I ordered for Christmas still in the works.
[ Tapping her foot as she tries to force this squirming envelope shut in her hand before stuffing that in her purse. ]
... So maybe! Should we go try to hunt your books?
[ And with the package struggling against her a little she lifts it up and tries to keep it aloft while keeping the parasol in place. It's hard to pull off, but...
[Robin turns around to see Sanji. Well, this is an interesting way to run into him. The package she was chasing starts dancing in front of her as she straightens out and walks over to him.]
Hello Sanji, I'm afraid you caught me in quite an unusual moment.
[There's no other way to explain why she's chasing after a package.]
[Yep! That's the easiest way to keep them all together and organized. Robin is doing the same thing with the shirts and pants she pulls out of the basket. She nodded as she walked over to grab another shirt.]
Yes, it can be very convenient during the semester cause everything is close by so I can visit multiple stores to get what I need. Do you shop here very often?
[Robin places the folded shorts on top of the ones she finished before moving on to the other one.]
Really? Well, good luck in your major. Me? I'm a history professor at the university. I'm also around to help students with their studies and anything else they might need.
[Robin laughs softly as she finds another pair of shorts.]
[Robin gives another laugh as she places another folded shirt on top of the others.]
Thank you, I'm quite flattered. You're welcome, have you finished all your pre-reqs? There are many choices, you don't have to decide right away, if you want to do art that's a nice step.
[There's never any rush when it comes to these things.]
I don't know much about my past self either. The person who has been part of my past is still trying to piece how we know each other. Out of all the changes that I've noticed getting these memories are very interesting. Have you gotten any yet? Sure, let me go get that coffee ready.
[Robin finishes her cookie as she goes over to the kitchen to prepare the coffee.]
[ He nods along to her words, feeling much the same. He has no idea how the other person and himself knew each other in their past lives, just that they did. ] Yes, it's going to be very interesting indeed. I can already tell. And no, I haven't received any memories yet.
[ He brings the cookies along with him as he comes inside and waits for the coffee. ]
[Robin knows his name, though that's about it. It does still sit with her that she knows Sanji name when they only met a couple of times in the city, but she figured it was something with the network.]
I have received a few. It's difficult to explain how it hits, but when it's does it's almost a deja vu feeling, almost as if a far off memory that was in the back of your mind came back.
[Robin placed a little cream and sugar in her cup before pouring black for Akutagawa. She carried them into the living room and handed him his cup.]
Here you go. So, when did the network show up for you?
[Robin looked down when she felt a brush against her ankle.]
Oh, it's my cat Mimi. I hope you don't mind, if you do I can distract her with one of her toys.
[ He walks back behind the bar to look around for what he will need to make that vodka martini. ]
Isn't that the kind of line you give with more a flirtatious tone? [ He locates a martini glass. ] But no... I just happened to walk by and happened to find this place open. It was chosen because it was easy and available.
[Robin laughed as she placed her clutch on the bar counter.]
I used to when I was a hostess, I don't need to use that line as much anymore. That's not a bad reason to chose a place, this one looks like it's nicely stocked too. How's your restaurant been doing?
A hostess? Like at that Cabaret club? [ Mild surprise, but he supposes that he could see it, too. ]
My restaurant. I believe I am going to keep it open for the sake of Retrospec users, but I'm being fairly lackadaisical with it. [ Which, he realizes, is not a good thing. It is the physical representation to his duties and ethics; if he gives it up... ]
Yes, that's a good way to describe it. [She supposed it would be quite a jump from hostess to teacher. Well, she did help people when she was hostess, she found another way to help people.]
Hmm, well, a break is not bad every once in awhile. It has been odd with the lack of people around. I'm sure business will pick up once the city has settled.
[She's only lucky all this started happening after her students stopped coming to class.]
Why did you decide to become a professor, then? [ A half-smile. ] Certainly not for the money.
[ His chin drops before nodding. ] I have been thinking that a break would be good for me. I'm feeling emotionally fatigued lately... my emotions have always been somewhat limited in terms of how much and to what degree I feel, but lately...
[ He shrugs. ] I believe you're correct that everything will settle back down once the city is put right.
[Robin gives a smile back.] No, I became a professor for the atmosphere. It's nice, calm, and I can be around books it felt like it was a good choice. A nice change to my other working environment. [While she enjoyed the lifestyle after she got enough money for college, she decided to find another career.]
Hmm, the city changing is affecting everyone. While I enjoy talking to my students and colleagues it is always nice to take a break. Have you been talking to a lot of people lately?
It is good that a person does what makes them happy. Life is, after all, unbearably short. If we do not decide to be greedy this lifetime, we will never find any sort of satisfaction. [ So he says -- a man who has no greed for himself. ]
That's true, if you don't watch it, it could be over in a blink of an eye. It's best to be able to get as much fun and satisfaction as you can, well as long as you can I suppose.
[It's also good to find people to share that fun with. She's starting to realize that now.]
Yet it seems like those younger than us would rather fulfill their roles rather than seek out what might make them happy. It's unfortunate... but if we're able to convince them to take a chance now rather than later, it may end in something worthwhile for them.
Really? If you wouldn't mind I'd like to know what you do. We can wait, until we finish the chapter, of course. I hope she does too, she deserves someone that will appreciate her.
[Robin opened the book and turned to the next chapter in the series as she started reading. When she reached the end of the chapter she closed the book again.]
It seems that Mitsuki knows more about her sister's fiance than her own sister.

Some of 'em, yeah!

Let's try to get that one, first.
no subject
[ I mean she says this, but she also hurriedly makes to leap towards that package with a surprisingly big super strength inspired leap. ]
no subject
Hmm? Oh, my name is Robin, what's yours? Sure, I don't mind making things go a bit faster. What are you going to do?
no subject
[ And with the package struggling against her a little she lifts it up and tries to keep it aloft while keeping the parasol in place. It's hard to pull off, but...
Okay. Inhale, exhale... ]
I'm going to try to call my bats.
For Sanji
Hello Sanji, I'm afraid you caught me in quite an unusual moment.
[There's no other way to explain why she's chasing after a package.]

He nods slowly, the bends at the torso until he has a clearer view of the dancing package. Mocking them.
... Kinda wants to set it on fire.]
You, uh... need help?
no subject
Yes, some assistance would be good.
[Especially since she isn't going to run in her heels if she can help it.]
I can collect the letters. They tend to fly in your face if you don't watch them.

[One of which is still hovering nearby the two like a dog waiting for its master to start chasing it again.]
I'm assuming you don't want any of 'em on fire, but I might have to pin it with my foot to make it behave.

Art supplies are expensive.

I'm going to major in art next year. What about you?
no subject
Really? Well, good luck in your major. Me? I'm a history professor at the university. I'm also around to help students with their studies and anything else they might need.
[Robin laughs softly as she finds another pair of shorts.]
Do I look like a student?
no subject
You could be. [She looks very young!] And-- thanks. Last year was just pre-reqs, so...
[He hadn't even decided what he wanted to do at that point.]
no subject
Thank you, I'm quite flattered. You're welcome, have you finished all your pre-reqs? There are many choices, you don't have to decide right away, if you want to do art that's a nice step.

I took pre-reqs because I wasn't sure what to do, but... Lately, I think I want to try pottery. [After all, his grandfather had...]
[He returns to sorting.]
I didn't think about it too much before, but now... I think I want to give it a try.
For Akutagawa
[Robin finishes her cookie as she goes over to the kitchen to prepare the coffee.]
Oh, how do you take it? Any sugar? Cream?

[ He brings the cookies along with him as he comes inside and waits for the coffee. ]
Just black would be fine.

I've tried those once, I'll leave those to you. Hmm, if there's vodka I'll take a vodka martini.
[Robin looked around at the bar it was a pretty nice place even if it was oddly empty.]
Do you come here often?

Me? I suppose I've been talking to a good deal.
no subject
[It's also good to find people to share that fun with. She's starting to realize that now.]
Oh? Giving advice?
no subject
[ So he says with a laugh. ]
Always. And it is always unwanted advice.

I work with runways and stuff. I'm a designer, but I also cover makeup backstage sometimes.
For Lavrenty
^^ Thank you, once I was able to find my footing I could handle the problem. It's a talent I've developed from being a professor.
What kind of stock did you have?
